Welcome to the ISSA Los Angeles 2026 Cybersecurity Summit
Wednesday October 14, 2026 2:10pm - 2:55pm PDT
In 2023, IBM demonstrated its 1,121-qubit concept processor, Condor. It was only a year ago, IBM revealed its 127-qubit quantum processor named Eagle. Amazon Braket also offers its AWS customers access to five different quantum hardware providers for their quantum computing needs. With rapid technological development of quantum computing hardware, access to quantum computing platforms is getting easier and wider. When quantum computing becomes mainstream, supercomputers not only solve some of the hard problems that we could not have solved with classical computers right now, but it also puts some of our current cryptographic algorithms at risk. So, what is quantum computing? Why is it so powerful? What would cybersecurity be like when quantum computers are widely being used? These are some of the topics we will discuss during this cyber talk.
